Show allAllSkin overview
Basket Halftone keeps its strong orange colour in Field-Tested, and the dark hatching still defines the rifle at a glance. Scuffs appear on edges and protruding parts, which gives the paint a used, practical feel. A sensible middle option for players who want the colour without paying for a clean finish.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The whole SG 553 is painted in burnt orange with a dark halftone and crosshatch grid running over the receiver, barrel and handguard like a woven basket. The rail covers on the handguard, the lower part of the pistol grip and the ribbed butt pad stay black and frame the orange areas.
Scratches become visible along the rail edges, the magazine ribs and the scope rings. The orange on the receiver and stock is mostly intact, though the halftone looks slightly softer. In game the rifle still reads as orange with a dark grid, with a light worn feel.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Basket Halftone is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 4 skins of the SG 553 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Black, white and dark brown stickers sit well on the orange grid and echo the black rail covers. Orange and gold stickers blend into the pattern for a monochrome craft. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them visible against the halftone.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade look noticeably fresher.
- Look at the rail edges, magazine and scope rings, which lose paint first.
- Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers that change the overall look of the orange finish.
- Check any applied stickers or name tag, as they affect how the rifle looks in your hands.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the orange colour for everyday matches.
- Buyers looking for a balance between look and cost.
- A practical middle choice.
