Show allAllSkin overview
The orange basket-weave pattern on this SG 553 is busy enough to hide small flaws, so Minimal Wear looks almost identical to a fresh copy. Only a close look at the sharpest edges shows a few tiny marks. It gives nearly the same look at a lower grade.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The whole SG 553 is painted in burnt orange with a dark halftone and crosshatch grid running over the receiver, barrel and handguard like a woven basket. The rail covers on the handguard, the lower part of the pistol grip and the ribbed butt pad stay black and frame the orange areas.
Small specks of wear can appear on the muzzle, the rail edges and the corners of the magazine. The receiver, stock and flat handguard surfaces stay clean. At normal distance the busy pattern hides these marks completely.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Basket Halftone is 0–0.6; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (13% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Black, white and dark brown stickers sit well on the orange grid and echo the black rail covers. Orange and gold stickers blend into the pattern for a monochrome craft. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them visible against the halftone.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade look noticeably fresher.
- Look at the rail edges, magazine and scope rings, which lose paint first.
- Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers that change the overall look of the orange finish.
- Check any applied stickers or name tag, as they affect how the rifle looks in your hands.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-new look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters, since the busy pattern hides the small marks.
- Almost the Factory New look at a lower grade.
