Skin overview

Phantom is built on contrast between dark grey surfaces and narrow orange lines, so its character survives moderate wear well. In Field-Tested the edges of the receiver and handguard show lighter scuffs, while the orange accents and woven panels still read clearly. It is a practical middle option for everyday play.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver is painted in dark gunmetal with blue-grey panels and a small light emblem near the magazine well. The handguard and magazine carry a fine woven, carbon-like texture, with thin orange stripes running along the handguard rail and outlining the magazine edges.

Lighter scuffs spread along the rail, the handguard edges and the front of the receiver. The magazine edges start to show small marks. In game the wear reads as slight graininess, while the colour scheme stays clear. The stock surfaces and the central panels remain mostly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Phantom is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Spectrum 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Spectrum 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, black, white and grey stickers match the Phantom’s palette, and holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the blue-grey panels. Placing stickers on the receiver side keeps the woven handguard and orange lines visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade look noticeably better.
  • Inspect the top rail, muzzle and magazine edges, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Make sure the orange lines along the handguard are unbroken if you want a clean look.
  • Look at applied stickers and the name tag, as they can add value or clash with the colour scheme.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who use the SG 553 regularly and want a tidy look.
  • Buyers who like the colour scheme and do not mind light scuffs.
  • Conclusion: a practical everyday option.
