Skin overview

The Phantom pairs a muted gunmetal body with carbon-like panels and small orange highlights, which makes it a quiet but recognisable rifle. In Minimal Wear any marks sit on the very tips of the barrel and rail edges and are hard to spot outside the inspect view. Buyers get a practically clean look at a lower grade than Factory New.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver is painted in dark gunmetal with blue-grey panels and a small light emblem near the magazine well. The handguard and magazine carry a fine woven, carbon-like texture, with thin orange stripes running along the handguard rail and outlining the magazine edges.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the muzzle and the sharpest edges of the top rail. They are visible only up close in the inspect view. At normal distance the rifle looks the same as a clean copy. The orange lines, magazine and stock stay intact.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Phantom is 0–0.6; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (13% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, black, white and grey stickers match the Phantom’s palette, and holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the blue-grey panels. Placing stickers on the receiver side keeps the woven handguard and orange lines visible.

• Inspect the top rail, muzzle and magazine edges, as these parts lose paint first.
