Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest way to get the blue oceanic finish of SSG 08 | Abyss. The hydrographic is heavily worn, with large bare areas on the scope and the raised parts of the receiver, and most cyan highlights fade into grey. Expect a scuffed field rifle with patches of blue rather than a full sea pattern.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The hydrographic covers the scope, receiver, handguard and stock frame in dark navy and teal with irregular cyan streaks, like light under the water surface. The barrel is left dark grey, the muzzle brake is a lighter grey and the bipod stays black.

Most of the scope and raised receiver parts show bare metal, and the handguard and stock frame are heavily scuffed. The cyan streaks are largely gone and the remaining blue sits in uneven patches. In game the rifle reads as grey with blue traces. Only sheltered flat areas still show a recognisable piece of the pattern.
