Souvenir Tec-9 | Blue Blast (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Blue Blast is a simple, single-theme finish: teal metal on top, dark navy below, and a plain greyish magazine. In Field-Tested the anodized colour starts to break on the shroud holes and receiver edges, showing lighter metal underneath. From a normal viewing distance the pistol still reads as clearly blue.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Anodized: the colour is in the metal coating itself, so wear shows mostly as dulling rather than a rubbed-off pattern.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The perforated barrel shroud and upper receiver are finished in deep teal with a darker gradient, while the muzzle tip and small pins are picked out in light blue. The lower receiver, trigger area and grip are a dark navy close to black, which frames the brighter upper part.

Wear spreads along the shroud holes, the muzzle and the top edges of the receiver, where lighter metal shows through the teal. The bolt handle starts to lose colour. The dark lower frame and grip hide wear better and still look mostly intact. In game the weapon still reads as a blue pistol with some scuffing.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir Tec-9 | Blue Blast is 0–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (29% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Ascent Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 5th of 8 skins Consumer Grade Tec-9 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in blue, teal, white or silver tones blend with the finish, while a single orange or gold sticker gives a clear contrast. The side of the receiver above the grip is a natural spot, since the darker area makes stickers stand out.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the shroud and muzzle show the difference first.
• Inspect the edges of the shroud holes and the bolt handle, which lose colour before other parts.
• Look at any applied stickers and name tag, as they change the look of this plain finish noticeably.
• The skin has no pattern variations, so compare copies by wear only.

Who should buy Field-Tested

• Players on a budget who want a blue Tec-9 that still reads well in game.
• Those who do not mind light scuffing on the shroud and receiver.
• A practical everyday pick for terrorist-side play.
