Skin overview

In Battle-Scarred the chalk graffiti is broken up into patches, and much of the barrel shroud and receiver edges show bare grey metal. What remains of the brown base and pale tags reads as a heavily scuffed, dirty surface. This is the roughest and most affordable way to run the skin.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The whole pistol is wrapped in a hydrographic print of overlapping Phoenix Connexion graffiti tags in pale teal, grey and dusty pink on a dark reddish-brown base. The perforated barrel shroud and the receiver carry the busiest part of the pattern, while the grip shows the same tags at a larger, calmer scale.

The shroud and muzzle are largely bare grey metal, and the receiver edges and grip front are heavily scraped. The remaining graffiti survives as broken patches on the flat panels. At normal distance the gun reads as a dirty mix of grey and brown with faint pale lines. Only the centre of the receiver sides and grip keep recognisable tags.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Phoenix Chalk ranges from 0 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 44% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 8 skins of the Tec-9 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in teal, pink, grey or brown blend with the chalk palette and keep the graffiti theme. Paper or graffiti-style stickers on the flat side of the receiver work best, while bright holo or gold may overpower the subdued pattern.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look cleaner than those near the bottom.
  • Inspect the barrel shroud and muzzle first, as the print wears off there before anywhere else.
  • Look at how the graffiti falls on the receiver side, because the tag placement shifts from copy to copy.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, since they change how the busy pattern reads.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who want the lowest-cost way to use the skin.
  • Those who enjoy heavily scraped metal with faint graffiti traces.
  • The most worn and most affordable choice.
