Skin overview

A Well-Worn Tec-9 | Phoenix Chalk shows the graffiti layer clearly thinned, with grey metal breaking through on the shroud and the front of the receiver. The tags survive mostly on flat panels, giving the gun a battered, used look. It fits players who like a weathered pistol over a clean one.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The whole pistol is wrapped in a hydrographic print of overlapping Phoenix Connexion graffiti tags in pale teal, grey and dusty pink on a dark reddish-brown base. The perforated barrel shroud and the receiver carry the busiest part of the pattern, while the grip shows the same tags at a larger, calmer scale.

Large areas of the shroud and the front of the receiver lose the print, and wear reaches the front edge of the grip and the magazine base. The graffiti remains clear mainly on the flat sides of the receiver and grip. In game the gun looks noticeably scuffed and lighter at the front. The rear of the receiver keeps the most pattern.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir Tec-9 | Phoenix Chalk is 0–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in teal, pink, grey or brown blend with the chalk palette and keep the graffiti theme. Paper or graffiti-style stickers on the flat side of the receiver work best, while bright holo or gold may overpower the subdued pattern.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look cleaner than those near the bottom.
  • Inspect the barrel shroud and muzzle first, as the print wears off there before anywhere else.
  • Look at how the graffiti falls on the receiver side, because the tag placement shifts from copy to copy.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, since they change how the busy pattern reads.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Fans of weathered, battle-used weapons.
  • Cheap entry for those who only need the skin in their loadout.
  • A rough-looking option for a gritty style.
