Souvenir Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

Tec-9 | Sandstorm is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol finish that covers the weapon in deep purple with sharp beige streaks, like sand blown across the metal. Minimal Wear is the cleanest grade this skin can have, so the purple stays saturated and the beige shapes keep crisp edges. Only close inspection reveals small marks on the barrel shroud edges.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and the perforated barrel shroud are painted in deep purple with angular beige streaks sweeping diagonally across them. The magazine well and trigger guard area are mostly beige, while the long magazine stays purple with darker purple shapes over it.

Wear is limited to small specks on the shroud edges and the muzzle. The purple and beige keep their full contrast across the receiver, grip and magazine. In game the skin looks practically clean. Pattern edges stay sharp everywhere.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.1–0.15

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Sandstorm ranges from 0.1 to 0.7; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.1–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The source is Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (on sale since Feb 19, 2014).

Price by quality

Among 10 skins of the Tec-9 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in beige, gold, purple or violet tones blend with the artwork. Placements on the side of the receiver or along the magazine keep the beige streaks on the shroud visible.

What to check before buying

• Check the float within the wear range, since the shroud edges and muzzle show scratches first.
• Look at the top of the receiver and the magazine base, where wear becomes visible early.
• Make sure any applied stickers and name tag fit the purple and beige scheme.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

• Players who want the cleanest available copy of this skin.
• Sticker crafters who need saturated purple and beige as a base.
• A tidy choice for those who value a fresh look.
