Skin overview

This Tec-9 finish is defined by its purple and beige palette and the windswept pattern across the whole weapon. A Well-Worn copy shows clear scuffing on raised parts and corners, so the beige streaks look broken up and the purple turns patchy. The colour scheme remains easy to recognise from a distance.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver and the perforated barrel shroud are painted in deep purple with angular beige streaks sweeping diagonally across them. The magazine well and trigger guard area are mostly beige, while the long magazine stays purple with darker purple shapes over it.

The shroud, muzzle and receiver top show clear bare patches, and the beige streaks there look broken. Wear spreads to the magazine base, grip edges and trigger guard. In game the pistol looks noticeably used, though the colour scheme is still obvious. The flat sides of the magazine and grip keep most of the pattern.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir Tec-9 | Sandstorm is 0.1–0.7; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Tec-9 | Sandstorm belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which holds 13 skins.

The source is Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (on sale since Feb 19, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in beige, gold, purple or violet tones blend with the artwork. Placements on the side of the receiver or along the magazine keep the beige streaks on the shroud visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float within the wear range, since the shroud edges and muzzle show scratches first.
  • Look at the top of the receiver and the magazine base, where wear becomes visible early.
  • Make sure any applied stickers and name tag fit the purple and beige scheme.
  • Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want the purple and beige scheme in their loadout.
  • Players who like a used look on a pistol.
  • A cheap way to get the skin's colours.
