Souvenir Tec-9 | Tornado (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the roughest version of this solid colour scheme, with paint missing from edges and raised parts across the weapon. The tan and blue-grey are still recognisable, broken up by patches of bare metal. It is the cheapest way to own the finish and has a rugged character of its own.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The upper receiver, the perforated barrel shroud and the charging handle are painted a sandy tan with a slight golden tone. The lower frame, trigger guard, grip and long magazine are a pale blue-grey, while the muzzle stays dark.

Paint is heavily chipped on all edges and raised parts, with bare metal around the shroud holes, muzzle and charging handle. Larger patches of wear spread onto the grip and magazine. In game the finish reads as a rough, weathered mix of tan, grey and dark metal. Only the central areas of the panels keep solid colour.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Tornado ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in tan, gold, brown or muted blue-grey match the two-tone scheme without breaking it. Darker or metallic stickers stand out well against the pale grey magazine and frame.

What to look at before you buy

• Look at the float position within the wear grade, since chipping on this solid finish grows steadily with it.
• Check the shroud holes, muzzle and charging handle first, as these show wear earliest.
• A Souvenir version of this skin exists, so make sure you are buying the variant you want.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag, because they change the look of such a plain finish noticeably.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

• Budget entry for players who simply want the skin in their loadout.
• Fans of a rough, weathered look with bare metal showing through.
• Conclusion: the most affordable and most rugged version.
