Souvenir Tec-9 | Tornado (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Field-Tested Tornado still reads as a tan-and-grey Tec-9 at a glance, but the paint starts to show its age. Small chips appear along the shroud holes, the muzzle end and the edges of the frame. The sprayed-on character of the finish becomes more noticeable.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The upper receiver, the perforated barrel shroud and the charging handle are painted a sandy tan with a slight golden tone. The lower frame, trigger guard, grip and long magazine are a pale blue-grey, while the muzzle stays dark.

Small chips spread along the shroud holes, the muzzle and the charging handle, and the first scuffs appear on the edges of the frame and magazine base. The flat faces of the grip and magazine are mostly still clean. In game the wear shows mainly on the tan upper part closest to the view. The overall two-tone look remains clear.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Tornado ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Alpha Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 8 skins of the Tec-9 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in tan, gold, brown or muted blue-grey match the two-tone scheme without breaking it. Darker or metallic stickers stand out well against the pale grey magazine and frame.

What to check before buying

• Look at the float position within the wear grade, since chipping on this solid finish grows steadily with it.
• Check the shroud holes, muzzle and charging handle first, as these show wear earliest.
• A Souvenir version of this skin exists, so make sure you are buying the variant you want.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag, because they change the look of such a plain finish noticeably.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the recognisable tan-and-grey look for everyday matches.
• Budget buyers who accept small chips on the edges.
• Conclusion: a balanced everyday option.
