Skin overview

The finish pairs a black barrel and forend with a pale receiver and a light magazine tube, which gives the shotgun a formal, two-tone look. In Minimal Wear the contrast reads the same as on a fresh copy in normal play, and any marks are small and found only on close inspection. It is a sensible choice for a buyer who wants the clean look without paying for the top grade.

Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The barrel and the upper part of the weapon are finished in dark gunmetal, while the magazine tube under the barrel is light with a chrome-like sheen and a dark streak along it. The forend is black with a row of thin white horizontal lines.

Small specks may appear on the front of the magazine tube and on the receiver edges. The forend lines remain intact. At normal distance in game it looks the same as Factory New. The large white surfaces stay clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir XM1014 | Black Tie ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 3 Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Chroma 3 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white, silver and gold stickers keep the formal two-tone scheme intact. Placements on the pale receiver stand out most, while dark stickers blend into the barrel and forend. Brightly coloured stickers break the monochrome look and suit only a deliberate accent craft.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within its wear range, since the white parts show every step of wear.
  • Check the muzzle end of the magazine tube and the receiver edges first, as they chip earliest.
  • Inspect the thin lines on the forend to see whether they are complete.
  • Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change the clean two-tone look.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a clean look in game and see no point paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters who accept small marks visible only up close.
  • A balanced choice between look and cost.
