Show allAllSkin overview
On this XM1014 the pale receiver and magazine tube carry most of the design, so wear is easy to see on them. In Well-Worn the white surfaces are noticeably chipped and darker metal shows through on edges and raised parts. The dark barrel and forend hide damage better, which keeps the silhouette intact.
Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Well-Worn
The barrel and the upper part of the weapon are finished in dark gunmetal, while the magazine tube under the barrel is light with a chrome-like sheen and a dark streak along it. The forend is black with a row of thin white horizontal lines.
Chipping spreads from the edges onto the white surfaces of the receiver and the magazine tube, revealing darker metal. The forend lines are broken in several places. In game the light parts look uneven and greyer. The dark barrel and grip hide wear best and still look fairly solid.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Black Tie is 0–0.75; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir XM1014 | Black Tie belongs to The Chroma 3 Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Chroma 3 Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Black, white, silver and gold stickers keep the formal two-tone scheme intact. Placements on the pale receiver stand out most, while dark stickers blend into the barrel and forend. Brightly coloured stickers break the monochrome look and suit only a deliberate accent craft.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at where the float sits within its wear range, since the white parts show every step of wear.
- Check the muzzle end of the magazine tube and the receiver edges first, as they chip earliest.
- Inspect the thin lines on the forend to see whether they are complete.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change the clean two-tone look.
Who should buy Well-Worn
- Budget players who want the skin and accept chipped white surfaces.
- Those who like a used look on a formal finish.
- A grade for play rather than for display.
