Skin overview

Blue Spruce relies only on solid moss-coloured paint, so heavy wear changes its character more than it would on a busy design. In Battle-Scarred large areas of metal show through the teal and mint, and the rifle looks like an old, much-used tool. It is the most rugged way to carry this colour scheme.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and handguard are painted in a dark blue-green, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark grey. The scope tube, scope rings, pistol grip, cheek rest and butt pad are a pale mint green, which makes them stand out against the darker frame.

Battle-Scarred strips large areas of paint from the receiver, handguard, scope and stock. Only the flatter, less exposed surfaces keep solid teal and mint. In game it reads as a weathered metal rifle with traces of green.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in teal, mint, white or muted gold blend well with the flat green colour blocks. The dark receiver and handguard give light stickers a strong contrast. Bright red or purple stickers will clash with the calm moss scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, because chips on the scope and muzzle grow quickly toward the worse end.
  • Pattern does not matter here, since the finish is made of solid colour blocks.
  • Souvenir copies come with fixed stickers, so check whether they suit the green scheme.
  • Look at the scope and the muzzle brake in the inspect view, as these parts lose paint first.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who want a heavily weathered scout with only traces of colour.
  • Collectors who gather every wear of the skin.
  • Conclusion: the most rugged and cheapest-looking version, for fans of a worn style.
