Skin overview

Sans Comic has a capped float range, so its Battle-Scarred copies sit only slightly beyond Well-Worn and do not reach the heaviest wear levels. The comic panels are patchy and the silver accents are mostly matte, but the grayscale pattern still covers most of the rifle. It is the cheapest way to get this monochrome look on an SSG 08.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The handguard, receiver and stock carry a grayscale hydrographic pattern of comic-style panels and line work, with some elements picked out in high-gloss silver paint. The scope body and mount use the same print, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark and plain.

Thanks to the capped float range this is only slightly heavier than Well-Worn: the edges, scope, grip and receiver top are patchy and the silver is mostly matte. Worn spots appear more often on the stock edges and handguard. In game the rifle reads as a weathered grey weapon with fragments of comic panels. The central side areas of the handguard and stock still hold the pattern.

The skin’s collection is The Achroma Collection with 20 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white, silver and holo stickers continue the monochrome comic look, while a single red sticker echoes the red recording light from the description. The flat sides of the handguard and receiver give the best surface for a clean row.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more silver gloss.
• Look at the handguard rails, scope rings and grip in the inspect view, as these parts lose the print first.
• On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they fit the grayscale artwork.
• If there is a name tag, make sure it suits the item, because it cannot be removed without losing it.
