Skin overview

The skin reads as a muted, monochrome comic page wrapped around the rifle, with no bright colours to compete with the line art. Minimal Wear keeps that look almost intact: small marks may sit on edges, but the panels and silver highlights still look clean in game. It is a sensible step down from Factory New for anyone who wants a near-identical look.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The handguard, receiver and stock carry a grayscale hydrographic pattern of comic-style panels and line work, with some elements picked out in high-gloss silver paint. The scope body and mount use the same print, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark and plain.

Tiny scuffs can appear on the sharpest edges, such as the handguard rails and the scope rings. The silver gloss remains bright and the panels on the receiver and stock are untouched. In game these marks are practically invisible in first person. The look is very close to Factory New.

The whole float range of SSG 08 | Sans Comic is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

SSG 08 | Sans Comic belongs to The Achroma Collection, which holds 20 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white, silver and holo stickers continue the monochrome comic look, while a single red sticker echoes the red recording light from the description. The flat sides of the handguard and receiver give the best surface for a clean row.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more silver gloss.
• Look at the handguard rails, scope rings and grip in the inspect view, as these parts lose the print first.
• On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they fit the grayscale artwork.
• If there is a name tag, make sure it suits the item, because it cannot be removed without losing it.
