Skin overview
★ Butterfly Knife | Safari Mesh is a balisong covered in a muted olive and sage spray-paint finish with a pale net pattern laid over the blade and both handles. In Factory New the mesh lines stay crisp and the paint covers the edges completely, so the knife reads as an even, matte field-green piece. This skin's float range starts close to the top of the Factory New band, so clean copies are a narrow slice.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The blade, handles and pivot area are painted in a dusty olive-grey base with a lighter sage net pattern sprayed through a mesh stencil, giving rounded, cell-like shapes along the whole length. The clip-point blade carries the mesh up to the tip, while the spine and serrated section near the pivot are slightly darker. Both handles share the same pattern around their row of holes, and the pins and latch are finished in a matching dark tone. On worn copies the paint goes first from the cutting edge and tip of the blade, then from the outer edges of the handles, the area around the holes and the latch end, revealing bare metal.
The paint covers every part of the knife, including the cutting edge and the handle rims. The mesh cells keep sharp borders between the olive base and the lighter lines. In game the knife reads as a uniform matte green-grey object during idle, flips and inspection. Since this skin's range begins near the upper limit of the grade, expect copies that are clean but not the lowest possible float.

What to look at before you buy
- Check the float within the chosen grade, since the cutting edge and tip are the first places where paint disappears.
- Look at the handle rims and the area around the holes on worn copies to see how much of the mesh is left.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, as it exists for this knife and is priced separately.
- The pattern placement changes little between copies, so condition matters more than pattern here.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want a fully painted Safari Mesh with no marks on the edge.
- Players who prefer a calm, uniform knife that matches muted loadouts.
- Conclusion: the cleanest version of a restrained finish, limited by the narrow grade.
