Show allAllSkin overview
This Talon Knife is recognised by its oil-slick blade, where blue and purple flow into warm gold toward the base, set against a pale ivory grip. Minimal Wear keeps almost all of that colour, with only faint marks that are hard to spot without inspecting closely. It costs less than the cleanest grade and in game looks nearly the same.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The curved blade carries the case-hardened patina: blue, violet and orange patches gather toward the tip and along the spine, shifting into pale gold and olive steel near the base. The spine has saw-tooth ridges and three round cut-outs, which take the same mottled colouring.
Light marks may appear near the tip and on the spine teeth, but they are small and scattered. The patina keeps nearly all of its saturation, and the colour transitions stay sharp. In game the difference from Factory New is hard to notice. The ring and handle look practically untouched.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of ★ Talon Knife | Case Hardened is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying
- Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, because the amount of blue and gold differs between copies.
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as copies at the cleaner end keep more colour on the tip and spine.
- Inspect the cutting edge, spine teeth and finger ring, since these lose the patina first.
- Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Buyers hunting for a good pattern at a more reasonable level.
- Conclusion: almost the same in game as Factory New, at a lower entry.
