Skin overview

The finish is a heat-treated patina in blue, purple and gold on a karambit with an ivory and brass handle. In Well-Worn the colours are noticeably faded and scuffed, and bare grey steel shows along the edge and spine teeth. The knife keeps its silhouette and handle, so it still reads as a Talon Knife | Case Hardened.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The curved blade carries the case-hardened patina: blue, violet and orange patches gather toward the tip and along the spine, shifting into pale gold and olive steel near the base. The spine has saw-tooth ridges and three round cut-outs, which take the same mottled colouring.

The edge, tip and spine teeth show bare grey steel, and the colour patches look faded and broken by many scratches. The finger ring is noticeably scuffed on its outer surface. In game the knife reads as a darker, mottled blade rather than a bright patina. The colour holds best in the middle of the blade.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, because the amount of blue and gold differs between copies.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as copies at the cleaner end keep more colour on the tip and spine.
  • Inspect the cutting edge, spine teeth and finger ring, since these lose the patina first.
  • Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget buyers who want this knife model with a recognisable finish.
  • Players who do not mind scuffs and focus on the silhouette and handle.
  • Conclusion: an accessible option with a darker, used look.
