Skin overview

★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web pairs a deep red blade with a thin black spider web pattern and a dark grey grip. In Factory New the red base is even and saturated, and the web lines stay crisp from the spine to the curved tip. This grade suits a buyer who wants the pattern exactly as intended, with no metal showing through.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Factory New

The curved blade is painted in a dark red base with a black spider web hydrographic running across its full length, from the hooked tip to the guard. The spine carries a row of saw-tooth serrations and three round cut-outs, which break up the web and catch the eye first. The grip is a dark grey panel with rivets, while red paint shows along its edges and on the finger ring at the end. On worn copies the paint goes first on the cutting edge, the tip, the serrations, the rims of the cut-outs and the outer curve of the ring.

The red base and black web are intact on every part of the blade and ring. The cutting edge, serrations and cut-out rims show no metal. In game the knife reads as a solid red surface with sharp web lines. The grip and rivets look clean.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within its wear range, since the lower end of each grade keeps more paint on the edge and tip.
  • Check the web placement on the blade, because the pattern position differs between copies and changes how the knife looks on inspection.
  • Inspect the serrations, cut-out rims and finger ring, as these are the first places where paint wears off.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or has a name tag, since both are visible on the item.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the red and web pattern fully intact.
  • Players who inspect their knife often and notice every mark on the edge.
  • The choice for a buyer who wants the finish exactly as designed.
