This copy of ★ Talon Knife | Stained keeps the calm look of the finish: pale handle, warm brass rivets and a smoky, stained blade with a saw-tooth spine. At Minimal Wear the patina already looks used by nature, so a few faint marks blend into the stains. Most players will see no difference from a fresh copy in game.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The blade is covered in a forced patina: cloudy grey, bluish and smoky stains spread over polished steel, with the heaviest blotches along the middle of the curve. The spine carries saw-tooth ridges and three round holes, and the edge and tip stay lighter than the body of the blade.
A few faint marks may appear near the edge and the tip of the blade. They mostly sink into the patina and are hard to spot. The spine, handle and ring remain clean. At normal distance the knife looks the same as Factory New.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of ★ Talon Knife | Stained is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since scratches on the edge and tip grow quickly toward the dirtier end.
- Look at the stain layout in inspect, as the placement and darkness of the patina differ between copies.
- Inspect the saw-tooth spine and the tip, which lose their patina first.
- Note whether a name tag is applied and whether a StatTrak™ counter matters to you.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Buyers who know the patina hides small marks well.
- A sensible middle ground between condition and cost.
