Skin overview

The skin pairs the AK-47's dark receiver and barrel with red laminate wood marked by black ring patterns. Well-Worn copies have visibly rubbed furniture, with the red thinning on the corners and grip, which gives the rifle a used, handled character. The red still dominates the view model, so the skin remains recognisable in play.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver, barrel, gas tube, front sight and the curved magazine keep a plain dark gunmetal finish with no pattern. All the colour sits on the furniture: the upper and lower handguard, the pistol grip and the stock are covered in bright red laminate with black concentric rings and wavy lines, like layers of cut plywood.

Well-Worn copies have the red rubbed off in larger patches on the handguard edges, the stock corners and the grip, and the black lines lose sharpness in those areas. The centre of the stock keeps the pattern best. In game the handguard looks clearly used, though the colour scheme remains obvious. The metal shows more scratches than in cleaner grades.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Red Laminate is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black and gold stickers match the laminate and the dark metal without breaking the two-tone look. Placing them on the receiver works best, since the plain gunmetal gives a calm background and leaves the red wood pattern uncovered.

• Check the float within the wear grade, since wear on the handguard edges and stock corners grows noticeably towards the top of each range.
• Inspect the handguard closely, as it is the part most visible in the first-person view and the first to show scuffs.
