Skin overview
Blue Ply is defined by its wavy laminate of blue and black on the slide and an ash-toned grip. Battle-Scarred turns it into a heavily chipped version: large patches of paint are gone from the edges and raised parts, the blue is broken up by bare metal, and the gun reads as a worn tool rather than a clean laminate.
Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The slide is covered in tight, wavy contour layers of bright blue alternating with black and dark grey, resembling the end grain of laminated wood. The frame and trigger guard continue the same pattern in darker blue-grey tones, while the hammer area and rear of the slide carry lighter grey layers.
Large areas of paint are missing from the muzzle, the whole top of the slide and the frame edges. The sides of the slide are broken up by bare metal patches. The grip loses a good part of its ash colour along the edges. In game the gun looks rough and metallic, with the blue appearing only in fragments.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Blue Ply is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir Desert Eagle | Blue Ply belongs to The Prisma 2 Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Prisma 2 Case.
What it costs in each quality
Among 6 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Blue, white, silver and holographic stickers sit well on the blue laminate of the slide. Muted grey or monochrome stickers keep the calm, material look, while bright warm colours will clash with the busy pattern.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end of a grade look noticeably cleaner.
- Look at the muzzle and the top edge of the slide on the screenshot, as these parts lose paint first.
- Check the grip edges, because wear on the pale ash colour is easier to notice than on the busy blue slide.
- See whether stickers or a name tag are applied and whether they fit the blue-and-ash colour scheme.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who prefer a rough, metallic, heavily used look.
- Budget buyers who want the skin in the most affordable grade.
- A choice for those who value character over a clean finish.
