Skin overview
The recognisable part of Blue Ply is the contrast between the electric-blue laminated slide and the light, wood-like grip. Minimal Wear keeps that contrast almost untouched; the busy layered pattern hides the few fine marks that this grade can carry, which makes it a sensible alternative to the cleanest grade.
Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The slide is covered in tight, wavy contour layers of bright blue alternating with black and dark grey, resembling the end grain of laminated wood. The frame and trigger guard continue the same pattern in darker blue-grey tones, while the hammer area and rear of the slide carry lighter grey layers.
Small marks may appear on the muzzle and the sharpest edges of the slide. The layered pattern is dense enough that these marks are hard to spot. The flat sides of the slide, the frame and the grip remain clean. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Blue Ply is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Prisma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Prisma 2 Case.
What it costs in each quality
Among 11 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 9th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Blue, white, silver and holographic stickers sit well on the blue laminate of the slide. Muted grey or monochrome stickers keep the calm, material look, while bright warm colours will clash with the busy pattern.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end of a grade look noticeably cleaner.
- Look at the muzzle and the top edge of the slide on the screenshot, as these parts lose paint first.
- Check the grip edges, because wear on the pale ash colour is easier to notice than on the busy blue slide.
- See whether stickers or a name tag are applied and whether they fit the blue-and-ash colour scheme.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-perfect look without paying for the top grade.
- Collectors who are fine with marks that the dense pattern hides.
- A balanced pick between appearance and cost.
