FAMAS | Sundown is a Mil-Spec rifle finish with purple palm fronds sprayed over a muted blue and pink camo. In Factory New the fronds keep their full outline and the paint covers the rifle evenly, including the handle and stock edges. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the dusky, tropical look exactly as intended.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The body, carry handle and stock are covered in a dark slate base with blue, teal and pinkish tints, over which dark purple palm fronds are sprayed in loose, overlapping shapes. The leaves run across the receiver and the long carry handle and continue down the pistol grip and the rear of the stock.
The paint is intact on every part of the rifle, including the carry handle edge and magazine corners. The palm fronds keep sharp outlines against the camo base. At normal distance the finish reads as a smooth, even surface with no visible metal.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Sundown is 0–0.6; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir FAMAS | Sundown belongs to The St. Marc Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Purple, pink, teal and holographic stickers match the dusky palm-and-camo palette. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver or the stock keeps them clear of the busiest leaf areas, while pastel or retro-styled designs fit the finish's aesthetic theme.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position within the wear grade, since the carry handle is the first place where the difference shows in first-person view.
- Look at the magazine corners and trigger guard on worn copies to judge how much metal is exposed.
- Souvenir copies come with preset stickers, so decide whether they fit the purple-blue palette before buying.
- Check for a name tag and applied stickers, as they change how the piece looks and who it suits.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the palm motif with no visible wear.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean base for pastel or holographic designs.
- Conclusion: the grade for an untouched, complete look.
