Skin overview

MAC-10 | Classic Crate is a hand-painted take on the green de_dust2 crates, and in Battle-Scarred that crate has clearly taken a beating. Large areas of olive paint and parts of the hazard stripes are worn down to metal, while the overall green tone remains recognisable. It is the most weathered version of the motif and the most affordable way into it.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is painted olive green with raised ribbed panels on the upper body, imitating the reinforced sides of a metal crate. A yellow and black hazard stripe runs along the side of the receiver, with a second short stripe on the grip near the trigger guard.

In Battle-Scarred large areas of paint are gone from the receiver, the ribs and the magazine, leaving grey metal showing through. The hazard stripes are only partly visible and the grip is scuffed as well. In game the weapon looks rough and worn, with a patchy green tone. The overall olive colour is still recognisable on the flatter surfaces.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir MAC-10 | Classic Crate is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MAC-10 | Classic Crate belongs to The CS20 Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is CS20 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Yellow, black and olive stickers echo the hazard stripes and the crate paint. Stickers with a stencil or military look suit the industrial theme, and a single red accent can tie in with the cross on the sling.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float keeps the ribs and hazard stripes cleaner.
  • Look at the receiver edges, the raised ribs and the bottom of the magazine, as these lose paint first.
  • Make sure the hazard stripes are intact if the clean crate look matters to you.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, and whether the copy is StatTrak™ if you want the kill counter.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want the cheapest entry to the crate motif.
  • Players who like heavily worn finishes with bare metal showing.
  • The roughest version of the skin, chosen for character and price rather than clean paint.
