Skin overview

Classic Crate turns the MAC-10 into a painted copy of the green de_dust2 crates, olive body with a yellow and black warning stripe. In Field-Tested the paint starts to chip on the edges and ribs, which suits the idea of a crate that has stood on the map for a long time. At normal distance the olive and hazard colours still read clearly.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver is painted olive green with raised ribbed panels on the upper body, imitating the reinforced sides of a metal crate. A yellow and black hazard stripe runs along the side of the receiver, with a second short stripe on the grip near the trigger guard.

In Field-Tested chips appear along the receiver edges and on the raised ribs, and the hazard stripes start to lose small patches of paint. The bottom of the magazine shows first scratches to metal. In game the olive colour and the stripes still dominate, and the wear fits the crate theme. The flat side surfaces of the receiver and most of the grip stay largely painted.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Classic Crate ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MAC-10 | Classic Crate belongs to The CS20 Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from CS20 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Yellow, black and olive stickers echo the hazard stripes and the crate paint. Stickers with a stencil or military look suit the industrial theme, and a single red accent can tie in with the cross on the sling.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float keeps the ribs and hazard stripes cleaner.
  • Look at the receiver edges, the raised ribs and the bottom of the magazine, as these lose paint first.
  • Make sure the hazard stripes are intact if the clean crate look matters to you.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, and whether the copy is StatTrak™ if you want the kill counter.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like a crate that looks like it has stood on the map for a while.
  • Buyers looking for a balance between clear colours and a lower grade.
  • A natural fit for the theme, since light chipping suits a metal crate.
