Show allAllSkin overview
Pipe Down is recognisable by the red pipes laid along the dark receiver and the red barrel tip and trigger guard. In Field-Tested the edges of the body and the raised tubes start to show scuffs, but the red-on-dark contrast still holds from a normal view. It reads as a used tool rather than a showroom piece, without losing the motif.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver is painted dark gunmetal with openings that reveal a bundle of red pipes running lengthwise along the body. At the rear the tubing bends into a loop over the top of the frame, and the threaded barrel tip and trigger guard are painted in the same red.
Scuffs become visible along the receiver edges, the barrel tip and the upper surfaces of the red tubes. The bottom of the magazine starts to show wear as well. In game the red-on-dark pattern still reads clearly, with the damage noticeable mainly up close. The sides of the receiver and the inner parts of the pipes stay mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MAC-10 | Pipe Down is 0–0.9; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (26% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir MAC-10 | Pipe Down belongs to The Danger Zone Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Danger Zone Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, black and white stickers match the pipe artwork and the dark receiver best. Placing them on the upper receiver works with the tubing, while metallic or grey stickers blend with the light magazine.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the red tubes and receiver edges show the difference most.
- Look at the barrel tip and rear pipe loop on inspect, as these raised parts lose colour first.
- The pattern does not change the design much, so condition matters more than pattern placement.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, and whether you need a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the full design for everyday matches.
- Buyers who do not mind visible scuffs on edges and tubes.
- A practical middle option for regular play.
