Show allAllSkin overview
MP9 | Buff Blue is a plain spray-paint finish that covers the whole SMG in deep cobalt blue, with only the muzzle and stock rails left in bare metal. In Factory New the paint keeps its full saturation, and the slight mottled texture built into the finish is the only irregularity on the surface. It is the cleanest way to own a single-colour blue MP9.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The receiver, including the top rail and the side panels, is painted in a deep cobalt blue with a faintly mottled, streaky spray texture. The vertical foregrip, pistol grip and long magazine carry the same blue, so the gun reads as one colour from muzzle to grip.
The blue coat is complete on every painted part, with no chips on the rail, grips or magazine. The only texture is the built-in mottling of the spray paint, which can look like light wear at first glance but is part of the finish. In game the gun shows an even, saturated blue. All edges and ribs look clean.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The float of Souvenir MP9 | Buff Blue ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 10% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Ascent Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Price by quality
Among 10 skins of the MP9 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 5th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
The plain blue body works well with white, silver or gold stickers that stand out against it, or with other blue shades for a tonal look. The flat side of the receiver above the grip is the most visible spot for a single larger sticker.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look noticeably cleaner on the edges.
- Inspect the top rail, the muzzle end and the bottom of the magazine, as these lose paint first.
- Do not mistake the built-in mottled spray texture for wear when comparing clean copies.
- Look at any applied stickers or name tag, since they change the look of a single-colour finish more than a busy one.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the cleanest copy of a single-colour blue MP9.
- Sticker crafters who need an even blue base without any chips.
- Conclusion: the grade for those who want the finish exactly as intended.
