Show allAllSkin overview
Field-Tested is where Rust Coat starts to live up to its name, with brown and orange corrosion clearly spreading over the dark base. The shotgun looks like an old tool that has been left outside, while the ribbed pump and overall silhouette remain readable. A middle grade for those who want the rust to be visible but not dominant.
Item type: shotgun. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The barrel and receiver are finished in dark gunmetal close to black, with a subtle reddish-brown patina showing through the surface. The pump forend stands out in a muted grey-teal with deep horizontal ribs, and the area around the muzzle cap carries a lighter metal edge.
Brown and orange rust is clearly visible on the receiver, the forend ribs and the grip, and starts creeping onto the barrel. The dark base still covers a good share of the flat surfaces, especially along the barrel and stock. In game the shotgun reads as noticeably weathered with a warm brown cast. The overall shape and ribbing remain easy to make out.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Nova | Rust Coat is 0–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (29% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Warm copper, brown, orange and gold stickers blend with the rust tones, while matte black or dark metallic ones suit the cleaner wears. Placements on the receiver side work best, as the ribbed forend breaks up sticker artwork.
What to look at before you buy
- Decide how much rust you want, since on this skin the amount of corrosion grows with the float rather than just adding scratches.
- Within one wear, compare the float position, because a low-float copy looks darker and a high-float copy rustier than the grade name suggests.
- Look at the forend ribs and receiver edges in the inspect view, as they show rust first.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, since they stay on the item.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want visible rust while keeping some dark metal.
- Budget buyers looking for a balanced middle option.
- Conclusion: a fair compromise between clean and corroded.
