Show allAllSkin overview
This Nova keeps the restrained look of the clean finish: dark metal, a warm brownish cast and the ribbed pump in cool grey-teal. Minimal Wear adds slightly more rust tone in places, which is hard to tell apart from Factory New in a match. It gives nearly the same dark, worn-in shotgun at a lower grade.
Item type: shotgun. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The barrel and receiver are finished in dark gunmetal close to black, with a subtle reddish-brown patina showing through the surface. The pump forend stands out in a muted grey-teal with deep horizontal ribs, and the area around the muzzle cap carries a lighter metal edge.
Light rust tone begins to appear on edges such as the forend ribs and the receiver contours. The barrel and stock remain dark and mostly uniform. At normal distance it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The grey-teal pump still looks clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir Nova | Rust Coat is 0–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (10% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Warm copper, brown, orange and gold stickers blend with the rust tones, while matte black or dark metallic ones suit the cleaner wears. Placements on the receiver side work best, as the ribbed forend breaks up sticker artwork.
What to look at before you buy
- Decide how much rust you want, since on this skin the amount of corrosion grows with the float rather than just adding scratches.
- Within one wear, compare the float position, because a low-float copy looks darker and a high-float copy rustier than the grade name suggests.
- Look at the forend ribs and receiver edges in the inspect view, as they show rust first.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, since they stay on the item.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want the Factory New look without paying for the top grade.
- Sticker crafters looking for a dark, even base.
- Conclusion: almost the same appearance at a lower grade.
