Sawed-Off | Highwayman is a Restricted shotgun finish built around a black and gold lacquered receiver with a scotch thistle motif, set against warm wooden furniture. In Factory New the gold engraving is crisp and the black lacquer keeps a deep, even gloss. This is the grade for buyers who want the thistle pattern to read exactly as intended.
Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The receiver carries the main artwork: black lacquer covered with gold scotch thistle engraving, with gold trim along its edges and a gold-toned trigger guard. The barrel and magazine tube stay a dark gunmetal grey, which keeps attention on the receiver.
The receiver lacquer is glossy and uniformly black, and every line of the gold thistle engraving is sharp. The gold trim and trigger guard show no rubbing. In game the receiver catches light cleanly and the gold detail is easy to see. Wood, barrel and receiver all look untouched.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir Sawed-Off | Highwayman is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Vanguard Collection with 14 skins in total.
The source is Operation Vanguard Weapon Case (on sale since Nov 5, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo-gold and black stickers match the receiver and keep the classic look intact. Warm brown or muted red designs placed on the wooden pump or near the stock blend with the wood, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the restrained black and gold.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the grade, since the gold on the receiver edges fades gradually and a low float within a grade keeps visibly more of it.
- Look at the receiver edges and trigger guard in the inspect view, as these are the first parts to lose their gold.
- On worn copies, check how much of the thistle engraving remains on the receiver panel.
- Note any stickers or name tag already applied and decide whether they suit the black and gold scheme.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the gold thistle engraving fully intact.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean, glossy receiver as a base.
- In short: the choice for a flawless black and gold look.
