Skin overview

The recognisable part of Highwayman is the engraved receiver: gold thistle stems and leaves on black, framed by a gold trigger guard and a classic wood pump. Minimal Wear keeps that contrast almost intact, with only faint marks on the edges that rarely show in the viewmodel. It gives nearly the same look as the cleanest grade at a more modest step.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver carries the main artwork: black lacquer covered with gold scotch thistle engraving, with gold trim along its edges and a gold-toned trigger guard. The barrel and magazine tube stay a dark gunmetal grey, which keeps attention on the receiver.

Light thinning may appear on the gold trim along the receiver edges and on the front of the trigger guard. The black lacquer keeps most of its gloss and the engraving stays fully legible. At normal viewing distance it is very hard to tell apart from Factory New. The flat sides of the receiver remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir Sawed-Off | Highwayman is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, holo-gold and black stickers match the receiver and keep the classic look intact. Warm brown or muted red designs placed on the wooden pump or near the stock blend with the wood, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the restrained black and gold.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since the gold on the receiver edges fades gradually and a low float within a grade keeps visibly more of it.
• Look at the receiver edges and trigger guard in the inspect view, as these are the first parts to lose their gold.
• On worn copies, check how much of the thistle engraving remains on the receiver panel.
• Note any stickers or name tag already applied and decide whether they suit the black and gold scheme.
