Souvenir Sawed-Off | Highwayman (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Highwayman pairs a dark gunmetal barrel with a lacquered receiver where the gold thistle motif carries the whole design. In Field-Tested the gold starts to thin along the receiver edges and the lacquer loses some of its shine, giving the shotgun a used, hand-carried feel. The overall black and gold scheme still reads clearly from the first-person view.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver carries the main artwork: black lacquer covered with gold scotch thistle engraving, with gold trim along its edges and a gold-toned trigger guard. The barrel and magazine tube stay a dark gunmetal grey, which keeps attention on the receiver.

The gold on the receiver edges and trigger guard is visibly thinner, and the raised parts of the engraving start to lose brightness. The black lacquer looks less glossy, with soft patina forming near the edges. In game the black and gold scheme reads clearly, though the shine is calmer. The centre of the receiver panel keeps most of the thistle pattern.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir Sawed-Off | Highwayman is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Sawed-Off | Highwayman belongs to The Vanguard Collection, which holds 14 skins.

It drops from Operation Vanguard Weapon Case (on sale since Nov 5, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, holo-gold and black stickers match the receiver and keep the classic look intact. Warm brown or muted red designs placed on the wooden pump or near the stock blend with the wood, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the restrained black and gold.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since the gold on the receiver edges fades gradually and a low float within a grade keeps visibly more of it.
• Look at the receiver edges and trigger guard in the inspect view, as these are the first parts to lose their gold.
• On worn copies, check how much of the thistle engraving remains on the receiver panel.
• Note any stickers or name tag already applied and decide whether they suit the black and gold scheme.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the black and gold style for everyday use.
• Buyers who like a slightly used, lived-in shotgun.
• In short: a balanced middle option where the design still reads clearly.
