Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the roughest version of Brass, with the patina heavily scratched and the brass surfaces darkened and patchy. The olive-gold colour no longer reads as a uniform plating, but the overall brass-and-dark scheme is still easy to identify in game. It fits the fool's gold idea of the skin and is the cheapest way to own it.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and the long handguard are finished in olive-brass with a metallic sheen and darker mottled patches typical of a patina finish. Small bright brass accents appear on the edge of the top rail, around the lower receiver and on the stock.
The handguard, rail and receiver are heavily scratched, and large areas of the patina look dull and broken up. The brass accents are worn down on all raised parts. In game the rifle reads as dark, aged metal with olive-gold patches rather than clean plating.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Brass is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Norse Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, brown and black stickers match the brass-and-dark scheme and keep the rifle looking like one piece. Placements on the flat sides of the receiver show best against the olive-brass, while bright blue or pink stickers will contrast sharply with the patina.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep more sheen on the edges.
- Look at the handguard edges and the top rail on the inspect screen, as these parts lose the finish first.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, because they change how the brass body reads and cannot be removed without loss.
- Compare a few copies in the mottled areas, since the darker patina patches sit differently from one rifle to another.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
