Show allAllSkin overview
Field-Tested Brass is where the skin's name starts to show its sense: the patina finish suits visible use, and scuffs on the receiver make it look like old worked metal. The olive-brass colour still dominates the rifle, while the edges and top rail lose some shine. It is a practical middle grade for players who want the look without paying for a clean copy.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The receiver and the long handguard are finished in olive-brass with a metallic sheen and darker mottled patches typical of a patina finish. Small bright brass accents appear on the edge of the top rail, around the lower receiver and on the stock.
Scuffs become visible along the handguard edges, the top rail and the raised parts of the receiver, and the sheen there is duller. The flat sides of the receiver still show the olive-brass colour well. In game the rifle looks used but the brass theme reads clearly.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Brass ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir SCAR-20 | Brass belongs to The Norse Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, brown and black stickers match the brass-and-dark scheme and keep the rifle looking like one piece. Placements on the flat sides of the receiver show best against the olive-brass, while bright blue or pink stickers will contrast sharply with the patina.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep more sheen on the edges.
- Look at the handguard edges and the top rail on the inspect screen, as these parts lose the finish first.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, because they change how the brass body reads and cannot be removed without loss.
- Compare a few copies in the mottled areas, since the darker patina patches sit differently from one rifle to another.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who use the SCAR-20 and want the brass theme without overpaying.
- Fans of patina finishes that look natural with some use.
- A practical everyday copy.
