Skin overview

In Battle-Scarred, Colony IV becomes a heavily weathered version of its hand-painted artwork of an ant, gas masks and an orange current. Large areas of the finish are scratched down to metal, giving the rifle a rough, salvaged look. The warm colours survive in patches, so the skin still reads as Colony IV in game.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver carries the main artwork: a red skeletal ant painted over a yellow-orange background with dark linework. The handguard combines dark teal panels with diagonal black and yellow hazard stripes, while the barrel and muzzle stay mostly grey metal with yellow accents.

Heavy scratching covers the handguard, magazine, grip and stock, leaving large areas of bare metal. The ant is broken up by wear and the hazard stripes are only partly visible. In game the rifle reads as grey-yellow and patchy, with red still showing on the receiver. No part of the weapon looks fully clean.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and yellow stickers blend with the ant and hazard-stripe palette, while teal or dark green pieces echo the handguard panels. Placements on the handguard or near the stock keep the receiver artwork uncovered.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep more of the handguard and magazine paint.
• Look at the receiver closely on worn copies, because the red ant is the focal point of the skin.
• Inspect the muzzle, handguard edges and stock end, as these parts lose paint first.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the busy artwork reads.
