Skin overview

This SG 553 finish mixes a yellow-orange base, dark teal patches and a red skeletal ant painted across the receiver. In Field-Tested the main motif stays readable, while scuffs start to show on the barrel area, handguard edges and stock. The worn spots add a used, workshop feel without breaking the overall image.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver carries the main artwork: a red skeletal ant painted over a yellow-orange background with dark linework. The handguard combines dark teal panels with diagonal black and yellow hazard stripes, while the barrel and muzzle stay mostly grey metal with yellow accents.

Scratches are visible on the barrel area, handguard edges, magazine corners and the end of the stock. The red ant and most of the gas masks are intact, though some thin linework starts to fade. In game the colours still read as warm and saturated, with wear noticeable mainly on the front of the rifle. The central receiver art stays the cleanest part.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Colony IV is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Shattered Web Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Shattered Web Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and yellow stickers blend with the ant and hazard-stripe palette, while teal or dark green pieces echo the handguard panels. Placements on the handguard or near the stock keep the receiver artwork uncovered.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep more of the handguard and magazine paint.
  • Look at the receiver closely on worn copies, because the red ant is the focal point of the skin.
  • Inspect the muzzle, handguard edges and stock end, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the busy artwork reads.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players looking for a balance between a readable design and a lower entry point.
  • Buyers who like a slightly used look on a busy, warm finish.
  • Conclusion: the practical middle option for regular play.
