Skin overview

SG 553 | Colony IV is a Classified hand-painted finish for the terrorist-side scoped rifle. A skeletal red ant sits over gas masks and an orange-yellow current, framed by black and yellow hazard stripes. In Factory New every line of the artwork is sharp and the warm yellow base keeps its full saturation.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver carries the main artwork: a red skeletal ant painted over a yellow-orange background with dark linework. The handguard combines dark teal panels with diagonal black and yellow hazard stripes, while the barrel and muzzle stay mostly grey metal with yellow accents.

The finish is complete on every part, from the muzzle to the buttstock. Fine details in the ant and the gas masks are crisp, and the hazard stripes have clean edges. In game the rifle shows a bright, even yellow with strong red and teal contrast. Nothing on the weapon looks scuffed.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Colony IV is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Shattered Web Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Shattered Web Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and yellow stickers blend with the ant and hazard-stripe palette, while teal or dark green pieces echo the handguard panels. Placements on the handguard or near the stock keep the receiver artwork uncovered.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep more of the handguard and magazine paint.
  • Look at the receiver closely on worn copies, because the red ant is the focal point of the skin.
  • Inspect the muzzle, handguard edges and stock end, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the busy artwork reads.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the hand-painted artwork in its most complete form.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean, bright base for a coordinated set.
  • Conclusion: the choice for the full, untouched look.
