Skin overview

SG 553 | Danger Close is a Mil-Spec Gunsmith finish for the terrorist-side scoped rifle, painted in a metallic fire theme. Burnt orange covers the handguard and front of the receiver, darkening into red-brown and deep charcoal towards the stock. In Factory New the orange keeps its full saturation and the transitions between the fire tones stay smooth and even.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The handguard and front of the receiver are painted burnt orange with darker vertical streaks that suggest heat and flame. Towards the rear the receiver shifts into red-brown and then deep charcoal, giving a metallic fire gradient along the rifle.

The paint is intact across the whole rifle, with no chipping on the handguard or receiver. The orange is at full strength and the fade into charcoal is smooth. In game the front of the rifle reads as a bright warm block against the dark stock. Every edge and rail stays clean.

Factory New wear: float 0.02–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Danger Close is 0.02–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.02–0.07 segment (6% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version
