Show allAllSkin overview
This wear gives the same orange-to-charcoal fire gradient as the top grade at a lower entry point. The handguard still reads as a solid block of bright orange, and the darker receiver keeps its metallic depth. Any marks are small and sit on the very edges, so in hand the rifle looks practically new.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The handguard and front of the receiver are painted burnt orange with darker vertical streaks that suggest heat and flame. Towards the rear the receiver shifts into red-brown and then deep charcoal, giving a metallic fire gradient along the rifle.
Small marks may appear on the sharpest edges of the handguard and the rail sections. The large orange areas and the receiver gradient remain untouched. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Magazine, grip and stock look clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The float of Souvenir SG 553 | Danger Close ranges from 0.02 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 10% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir SG 553 | Danger Close belongs to The Danger Zone Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Danger Zone Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Warm stickers in orange, red, gold or black match the fire theme and blend into the handguard. Placing them on the darker rear of the receiver adds contrast, while bright cold colours such as blue or green will clash with the orange.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within its wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more of the orange handguard.
- Look at the handguard edges and rails first, as chipping appears there before anywhere else.
- Review applied stickers and any name tag, because they change how the orange receiver reads.
- Decide whether you want StatTrak™ or a Souvenir copy, as both exist for this skin.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-new look without paying for the top grade.
- Sticker crafters, since the minor edge marks rarely show in game.
- Conclusion: the sensible clean option for most buyers.
