Show allAllSkin overview
Rapid Transit remains identifiable by its light base and transit-map lines even when heavily worn. Battle-Scarred turns the clean scheme into a rough, scratched surface with dark metal showing through on edges and raised parts, which some players prefer as a weathered take on the design.
Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, handguard and pistol grip are painted in an off-white, slightly warm base, with thin parallel lines in red, orange, yellow, blue and green running lengthwise like routes on a metro map. Small station-style markings and line breaks sit along the receiver and the lower part of the frame.
Large areas of the handguard, receiver and grip show dark metal through the pale paint, and the scratches cover most raised parts. The thin lines survive only in fragments, mostly in recessed areas of the receiver. In game the rifle reads as grey and scratched with traces of colour, and only the dark barrel and stock look roughly as they do on clean copies.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.75
The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Rapid Transit is 0–0.75; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.75 segment (40% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Gallery Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Gallery Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers with white, light grey or clean colours matching the route lines — red, orange, yellow, blue or green — suit the map theme well. Placing them along the handguard keeps the line pattern readable, while dark or holographic stickers fit better on the darker stock and barrel area.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the light base makes the difference between a low and high float easy to see.
- Inspect the handguard edges, the front of the receiver and the grip, as these are the first places where dark metal shows through.
- Look at whether the thin route lines are continuous, because broken lines change the clean map look the most.
- Review applied stickers and any name tag, as bright or bulky stickers can cover the small station markings on the receiver.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players looking for the most affordable entry into this design.
- Fans of heavily weathered skins who enjoy a scratched, grey take on a clean theme.
- A budget pick for those who want the name and a rough look rather than a clean map.
