Skin overview

XM1014 | Grassland is defined by two flat colours, tan and sage green, painted part by part across the shotgun. In Battle-Scarred much of the paint is worn through on the barrel, receiver edges and forend ribs, and bare metal plays a large role in the look. The colour split is still recognisable, but the gun now reads as heavily used.

Item type: shotgun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, barrel and magazine tube are painted a warm sandy tan, and the pistol grip and trigger guard share the same colour. The pump forend with its ribbed grip is sage green, and the rear section of the stock with the butt plate repeats that green inside a tan stock frame.

Much of the tan paint on the barrel and the top of the receiver is worn through to bare metal. The green forend is heavily scuffed across its ribs, and the stock shows wear along all edges. In game the shotgun reads as rough and weathered, with metal showing between the colour blocks. Only the flatter sides of the receiver, grip and stock still hold larger areas of paint.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir XM1014 | Grassland ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir XM1014 | Grassland belongs to The Militia Collection, which holds 11 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

By price this skin is 4th of 8 skins Consumer Grade XM1014 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Muted greens, browns, olive and sand tones blend well with the tan body and green forend. Dark or matte stickers on the tan receiver give a clean contrast without breaking the field palette, while bright neon colours tend to clash with it.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since the muzzle and top of the barrel show the difference first.
  • Check the forend ribs and receiver edges in the inspect view, as these parts chip early on a solid-colour finish.
  • Souvenir copies come with preset stickers, so decide whether they fit the look you want.
  • On regular copies, check any applied stickers or name tag, because they change the plain look of the finish.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget buyers who want the lowest entry into this finish.
  • Players who prefer a heavily weathered look with bare metal showing.
  • An entry option for those who do not mind strong wear.
