Skin overview

XM1014 | Grassland is a Consumer Grade shotgun finish built from plain spray-painted blocks of sandy tan and muted sage green. In Factory New the colours sit flat and even, with crisp borders between the tan receiver and the green forend and stock. Factory New copies come from a narrow slice at the bottom of the float range, so this is the cleanest the finish gets.

Item type: shotgun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, barrel and magazine tube are painted a warm sandy tan, and the pistol grip and trigger guard share the same colour. The pump forend with its ribbed grip is sage green, and the rear section of the stock with the butt plate repeats that green inside a tan stock frame.

The tan and green coats are intact on every part, including the muzzle and the forend ribs. Edges of the receiver and stock show no chips. In game the gun looks clean and evenly coloured from any distance. This grade sits in a narrow band at the start of the range, so copies are close to each other in look.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The float of Souvenir XM1014 | Grassland ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0.06–0.07 — 1% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir XM1014 | Grassland belongs to The Militia Collection, which holds 11 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted greens, browns, olive and sand tones blend well with the tan body and green forend. Dark or matte stickers on the tan receiver give a clean contrast without breaking the field palette, while bright neon colours tend to clash with it.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since the muzzle and top of the barrel show the difference first.
  • Check the forend ribs and receiver edges in the inspect view, as these parts chip early on a solid-colour finish.
  • Souvenir copies come with preset stickers, so decide whether they fit the look you want.
  • On regular copies, check any applied stickers or name tag, because they change the plain look of the finish.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the cleanest version of a simple field finish.
  • Sticker crafters who need an even tan surface for muted designs.
  • The choice for those who want the flat colours exactly as intended.
