Skin overview

In Field-Tested the Mockingbird starts to look like a working shotgun rather than a display piece. The bird engraving remains readable, but the metal parts show scuffs and the wood loses some of its even tone along the edges. The brown-and-black scheme still holds the overall look together in game.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The barrel and the magazine tube are finished in dark metal, with a gold-coloured cap at the end of the tube. The forend, pistol grip and stock panels are covered in brown wood with a visible figured grain.

Scuffs spread along the receiver edges, the barrel and the magazine tube, and the raised parts of the engraving start to dull. The edges of the forend and stock show lighter worn spots in the wood. The birds are still readable and the overall colour scheme holds. In game the weapon looks used but tidy.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, brown and black stickers match the wood and the engraved metal best. Holo or gold stickers placed on the barrel or the magazine tube echo the gold accents without covering the bird engraving on the receiver.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep the engraving noticeably sharper.
  • Look at the receiver engraving in the inspect view, because the raised parts of the birds lose their shine first.
  • Inspect the edges of the forend and stock, where the wood finish wears through early.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, and whether the copy is a StatTrak™ version.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the engraved shotgun for regular matches.
  • Buyers who like a gun that looks used but still tidy.
  • In short: a balanced option between appearance and cost.
