Skin overview

A Well-Worn Mockingbird has clear traces of use across the receiver and wooden parts. The gold and silver of the birds are dulled and partly rubbed through, giving the engraving an aged, darker look. Buyers who like a weathered field gun often prefer this grade to the cleaner ones.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The barrel and the magazine tube are finished in dark metal, with a gold-coloured cap at the end of the tube. The forend, pistol grip and stock panels are covered in brown wood with a visible figured grain.

The gold and silver of the engraving are visibly rubbed off in places, and the receiver shows bare metal on its edges. The wood on the forend, grip and stock has patchy wear. The barrel and muzzle area carry many scratches. In game the shotgun reads darker and more weathered, though the wood still stands out.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir XM1014 | Mockingbird ranges from 0 to 1; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 7% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir XM1014 | Mockingbird belongs to The Fever Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Fever Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, brown and black stickers match the wood and the engraved metal best. Holo or gold stickers placed on the barrel or the magazine tube echo the gold accents without covering the bird engraving on the receiver.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep the engraving noticeably sharper.
  • Look at the receiver engraving in the inspect view, because the raised parts of the birds lose their shine first.
  • Inspect the edges of the forend and stock, where the wood finish wears through early.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, and whether the copy is a StatTrak™ version.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Fans of the weathered hunting-gun look.
  • Players looking for a cheaper entry to this design.
  • In short: suits those who value an aged character over a clean finish.
