Show allAllSkin overview
The appeal of Blue Steel lies in its restrained palette: steel-blue and gunmetal tones instead of bright artwork, set on the heavy Bowie silhouette with its toothed spine. At Minimal Wear the patina still looks almost untouched, and any marks are faint enough to disappear in normal play. It keeps nearly the full look of the cleanest grade while usually being the more sensible choice.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The blade is covered in a dark steel-blue patina, with a lighter silver-blue bevel running along the cutting edge up to the clipped tip. The sawback teeth on the spine carry the same blued finish and stand out as a row of small raised points.
Light marks may appear on the tip and along the spine teeth, usually only noticeable on inspection. The flat of the blade, the guard and the pommel still look clean. At normal viewing distance in game the knife is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The overall blued tone is fully preserved.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the bluing on the tip and spine teeth changes noticeably across the range.
- Compare the pattern on inspect, because the patina can lean more blue or more grey from copy to copy.
- Look at the edges of the guard and pommel, as these raised parts lose their bluing early.
- If you want a tracker, confirm whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look without aiming for the top grade.
- Buyers who care about how the knife looks in hand rather than on inspection.
- A balanced option that keeps almost the full appearance.
