Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the Forest DDPAT blade into a heavily stripped surface where steel takes over the edge, the tip and much of the curve, leaving fragments of green and brown pixels in between. It suits the rough, field-used character of a camouflage finish. It is the most affordable way to carry a Talon Knife with this pattern.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The curved blade of the Talon Knife is covered in a digital woodland camouflage of square pixel blocks in green, olive, tan, light beige and dark brown, with a thin strip of polished steel along the cutting edge. The spine carries saw-tooth ridges and three round holes that cut through the pattern.

Most of the curve and the tip are bare steel, with scattered fragments of green and brown pixels toward the base of the blade. The serrated spine and the area around the holes are heavily stripped. The handle and the ring show worn edges, while the green of the grip still holds in its centre. At normal distance the blade reads mostly as metal with a hint of camouflage.

• Check the tip and the cutting edge in inspect, since that is where the camouflage loses paint first.
• Look at the saw-tooth spine and the area around the three holes to judge how far the wear has spread in mid grades.
• Compare the float with the borders of its wear grade, because a low float inside a grade often looks a step cleaner.
• Decide whether you want StatTrak™, since the counter is shown on the knife and changes the version you are buying.
