Skin overview

This wear keeps the full Forest DDPAT look of the Talon Knife: a pixelated woodland pattern on the blade and a plain green grip that matches its main tone. Any marks are small and usually limited to the cutting edge and the tip, where a thin line of bare steel may show. At inspect distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New, which makes it the practical choice for a clean-looking knife.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The curved blade of the Talon Knife is covered in a digital woodland camouflage of square pixel blocks in green, olive, tan, light beige and dark brown, with a thin strip of polished steel along the cutting edge. The spine carries saw-tooth ridges and three round holes that cut through the pattern.

Light wear appears as fine specks or a thin line of steel at the cutting edge and the tip. The pattern on the flat of the blade, the spine teeth and the green handle stay clean. At normal distance the knife reads the same as Factory New. Differences show only when you inspect closely.

What to check before buying

  • Check the tip and the cutting edge in inspect, since that is where the camouflage loses paint first.
  • Look at the saw-tooth spine and the area around the three holes to judge how far the wear has spread in mid grades.
  • Compare the float with the borders of its wear grade, because a low float inside a grade often looks a step cleaner.
  • Decide whether you want StatTrak™, since the counter is shown on the knife and changes the version you are buying.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a clean-looking knife without paying for the narrow Factory New band.
  • Owners of green or military-themed inventories looking for a matching knife.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
